sundays

sundays....i love sundays
today was nothing extra special, just another crisp spring sunday morning.
it's usually pretty relaxed around here on sunday mornings...breakfast consists of home~made cinnamon rolls(baked on sat),heated to melt~in~your~mouth yummy!!
on the side...it's the cream cheese icing, can you say "DE~LISH"!!
some in this house...not so crazy about the icing,would rather eat them plain or with butter~me, bring on the icing baby ;) LLLOOOVVVEEE IT!!!


this and a cup of java and/or juice is all we need.

church is @ 9:45 am and again @ 3 pm

today we had pastor pronk who preached on elijah and the widow at zarephath~how God through him supplied them with enough oil & flour to sustain them for many days while there was the famine in the land.
~how God showed His power, when her son died, restored his life, thus making this widow see that elijah was truly a man of God and that his word was reliable~her confession was one that the Lord's own people in isreal had failed to make.

this afternoon was a baptism service...i love baptisms b/c we are reminded time and again of God's goodness and faithfulness through the generations!
how blessed we are!!

when we came home this afternoon, the girls and i~eryn & dani~ took mika for a long walk.....poor thing spends alot of her time in the crate on sundays.
4.4 km(2.2 miles~ish)
we can do this trot in about 35 min +/- a few min......my girls have a hard time keeping up with me~HA,HA...who would'a thunk it...not me!!!~but they DO!!!

the hubby helps with supper on sunday nights~yay!!!
tonight the kids wanted pancakes...well, some wanted pancakes, others wanted grilled cheese sandwiches.
wayne, levi, jordyn,dani & roni made the pancakes....eryn & i had grilled cheese in the sandwich maker machine thing.
ya, supper was not that great in my opinion, but hey, we're all fed to satisfaction & more...i have no complaints.

then i noticed the whiteboard.....



the kids often erase, write things, erase them, etc~you get the picture, and it changes so often that some time i don't even notice what's written on it....i know~my bad!
dani had written~ finish this sentence, Lord i am thankful for...
normally when something like this is posted on the board, it means we are to give thanks for at least one thing in our day when we pray @ the supper table together.
this time jordyn had written what she was thankful for~ i love her tender heart for the Lord at this young age.
my prayer is that she(and all our children!) will keep this love for the Lord and what He has done on the cross for her, and the promises for her in His word that she can cling to...embracing them when life gets difficult.
i praise Him for His goodness shown to her and us as He has carried us through some of the unknown & difficult paths in this life.
He is forever faithful~since He is, so we are called to be as well!!!
