word art...

this is something that i've been meaning to do for a looooonngg time.

i like word art.

i wanted to put words on canvas so i could move it around, you know, change things up a bit from time to time.
my problem is.....no 'silhouette' cutter~yet.

what is a silhouette cutting machine, you ask?

weeeelll....the silhouette is a digital cutting tool for personal use.
it connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs it cuts them with a small blade.
with the machine connected to your computer, you'll get access to all of the fonts on your PC plus the thousands of cuttable designs!
you can create....
scrapbook pages,cards,custom apparel,vinyl décor,etched glass,sketch designs,temporary tattoos&paper crafts




yup, this is what's on my birthday list.
this thing is soooo cool.
anyway, i digress.
 
this is what i made~so NOT professional looking, but hand made non the less.

my feeble attempt at word art.
it will have to do(until i posses the silhouette)!

i used a small canvas that i had already.
grabbed some old paint from the basement....the colour from eryn's room~benjamin moore's grey mirage.
i then basically dry brushed on the paint, to give it more texture(you can't tell from the pic~maybe if i had used a darker colour, you'd see the effect better)

next, i added the letters.
project....done.

there you have it.
i know the words are not very well lined up....i'm a bad one for just 'eye~balling' things & then getting it crooked.
oh well, too bad....it's hand crafted after all & only cost about $2.50 to make!
