happy birthday eryn!!

my baby girl is 17 today!!

i know. i know. she's not my baby.

jordyn asked me this morning if i remembered what time of day eryn was born.
yup.
i remember like it was yesterday.
1:16 am....on my due date~ may 17 :)!!

i remember the night before...... my dear s.i.l had been calling me every day for the past couple of weeks, you know, just to check on me, having my first babe an all.

my hubby answered the phone & told her that i was busy & that i'd call her back in the morning.
i never thought at that point, that the next morning i'd be a new mom!!

by 7 am, the morning of may 17 {i couldn't wait any longer!!} i phoned my sis in law & of course she didn't have call display yet ;)!

so this is how it went:

"hullo?"{groggy morning voice from being just woken up :)!}

"hi chris.....wayne said you called last night so i'm just returning your call."

"oh....you didn't need to call first thing, it wasn't that important, i just wanted to see how you were feeling"

"i'm sorry for calling so early, but i just couldn't wait any longer.... we had a baby girl this morning!! we named her eryn kelsey. she was 9lbs 5oz & 21" in length, she's a big one!"

so, needless to say we had a good laugh over this....her thinking she'll call me everyday & when she doesn't get an answer then she'll know i'm in the hospital having a baby.
BUT i surprised her anyway...wu~hoo!!!

she's grown into such a beautiful young lady, ready to experience life and all that God has in store for her.
you are a blessing in our family!!
