small fry....

levi has a french assignment....due tomorrow.

he must find an appetizer recipe, write it out in french, make the recipe, and present it in front of the class....all in french by the way
ok.
that's totally do~able.

then he tells me that it's chips & dip.
once again, no probs.
we'll buy some chips & make a yummy dip!

"but i have to make the chips mom!!"

greaaaaat.

so, google 'how to make home~made chips'.

this is what we came up with....

start with ....
 wash, peel & slice....
 rinse them in cold water....
 pat them dry....
oil to the temp of 350 degrees....
{i don't have a deep fryer, so we used a large frying pan}
fry 'em up till golden brown...
drain on paper towels & season...

 enough for the class :).....

they actually tasted pretty good!
i know, i was pleasantly surprised!
levi had so much fun making these....i'll not be shocked if he wants to be a chef someday.
the sweet part of this project for him is that he automatically gets an extra 5 percent on his mark for doing the extra work!!

the only draw back to this whole process....the house smells like mcdonalds :(
