florida!!! {part 1}

our first ever trip to the sunshine state.....wo~hooooooo!!!!
(btw...this will be an extrememly long post/several posts.
so, you've been warned!!)
orlando, here. we. come!!

we left mika with wayne's parents....poor thing was 'playing' with a bee & look who got stung!

here's the 'low~down', 'play~by~play' of our week vaca
i think i'll do this in a couple of posts...no time to do it all at once.

we headed out at 4am thurs morning(oct 20)....yawn ;{

some fight carsickness...

the long drive made them a little stir crazy...doesn't take much though!!

 just after lunch on friday, we were in florida~first stop....the beach!!

we pull into our resort around 4 pm....

beautiful accommodations....home for the next 7 days ;)

after picking up a few things from the grocery isle in walmart, we ate subs for supper & the kids finished watching the movie they had started earlier{the suite only had a blue ray player & our movies were regular dvds}

early the next morning(saturday) we head to{very convenient being just down the road & around the corner!} .....

we watched the shamu show & sat in the 'soak' zone.....

we all got~you guessed it~soaked!!{that was a no~brainer~duh!}

then on to feed & pet the sting rays....

we all loved this part~the rays are so gentle

checked out the dolphins....

jordyn & levi played a few games & won these little penguins

after a full day at seaworld, we head back to the condo exhausted.

pizza & salad was for supper & we all go to bed early.

sunday morning we get ready for church & leave at 9:30 for services.

we went to the reformed presbyterian church in orlando.

a tiny congregation in the heart of the city.

this small church has warmth & a welcoming atmosphere and lovingly welcomed our family.

i can say that i've never been to a church that wants to make their guests feel at home with them as we praise & worship our great God together.

it was a very blessed morning together in the reformed presbyterian church of orlando.

after coming home from church, we had lunch at the condo & headed out to the beautiful grounds of the resort for a family photo shoot.

i brought my tripod, got all set up & here are some of the results.....

{i sent wayne & the boy to scout for good locations on the grounds~1st location/picture, NOT good & we quickly moved on as you'll see}

that's just the sneak peek...i'll have to pick one for this years christmas card.

the rest of the afternoon, the kids hung out at the pool

played a little one~on~one or two,three or four....

levi does the ball roll....
