feb 14.....

so, today is valentine's day.......<3   ;)

i do enjoy this day, but not because of the commercial/materialistic day that it is!
i know, i know....it's a pagan holiday.
i just think of it as a reminder to be who i'm called to be as a child of God.
to show love.

as i was doing devotions this morning, i was reading colossians and i found that this spoke to me in a particular way, being that it's valentines day, i'm to show love to all.....

colossians 3:12~15

Put on then, as God' chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other as the Lord has forgiven you so you must also forgive.  And above all these things put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.  And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which you were called in one body.  And be thankful. 

i am thankful for wayne, who lives this out every day and is an encouraging support to me in those times that i fall short in this. God knew the perfect mate for me & i thank Him everyday for wayne, not just on feb 14.
